    Vivianne Wicker

Vivianne A. Wicker, a partner in the Miami and Key Largo office, has nearly 30 years of experience handling complex litigation in both state and federal court, covering a broad spectrum of legal matters including construction litigation, employment litigation, trucking, retail and restaurant litigation, insurance coverage issues, fraud, PIP fraud, premises liability, negligent security, products liability and general liability claims. Because of her depth of trial experience and success in the courtroom, Ms. Wicker has been directly retained by a number of Fortune 500 internationally-based companies to handle all aspects of litigation through trial.

In her construction practice, Ms. Wicker handles all aspects of construction litigation throughout Florida, representing contractors, subcontractors, developers, design professionals and various construction trades in construction defect and construction bodily injury claims. Additionally, Ms. Wicker has gained particular experience in catastrophic vehicular and trucking accidents statewide because of her implementation and deployment of an immediate response team to handle claims at a moments notice. She also has a vast amount of knowledge in the manufacturing and retail industry dealing with multifaceted product liability issues and food-safety related issues such as food borne illnesses, outbreaks and alleged foreign objects. She has represented international beverage distributors, national retailers, restaurants and food manufacturers in claims throughout the United States.

Ms. Wicker began her career with Wicker Smith under the tutelage of her father, Idus Q. Wicker, founding partner of the firm. In 1998, she became a partner with a statewide firm, where she was recruited to establish the Liability Department to support its existing Workers’ Compensation practice. Before returning to Wicker Smith in 2010, Ms. Wicker successfully managed her own law firm for 8 years. She has an AV® Preeminent™ rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest evaluation awarded by that organization.

A native of Florida, Ms. Wicker graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Accounting from Samford University in 1978.
