Defense Verdict: Broward County, Florida (Trucking Negligence)

Miami Partners, Erik Crep and T. Michael Kennedy, and Associate, Trenton Wasser, obtained a defense verdict in a trucking negligence case this week in Broward County, Florida.

This case involved a low-hanging power line that was hit by our client’s semi trailer, causing a utility pole to break and hit Plaintiffs’ car. Both the phone company and the electric company settled out of the case prior to trial. We represented the trucking company and the defendant driver in the four day trial.  The jury deliberated for 90 minutes before finding no negligence on the part of our clients and returning a complete defense verdict.
