Michael EckhartBiographyMichael Eckhart is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Jacksonville office, where his main areas of practice are medical malpractice, general liability, and premises liability. Prior to joining the firm in 2026, Michael spent three years working as an Assistant State Attorney for Duval County, prosecuting misdemeanor and felony crimes. At the State Attorney’s Office, he tried 24 jury trials to verdict before making the decision to pivot into private litigation practice. As an undergraduate student, Michael was a Division I NCAA wrestler at American University in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 2018 with a degree in biology before continuing his education at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, where he was the Executive Note Editor of the Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine, an award-winning member of the Moot Court Team, and Vice President of Public Relations for the CWRU Graduate Student Council. He earned the CALI Award of Excellence in Patent Law and received his J.D. in 2022. Outside of work, Michael enjoys going to the beach, exercising, and enjoying live music.
