Kevin T. Heckman

Kevin T. Heckman is an associate in Wicker Smith’s St. Petersburg Downtown office, handling mostly medical malpractice, professional liability, and general liability matters.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, Kevin worked for several years at another prominent Florida-based firm, defending hospitals, physicians, and other allied healthcare providers in medical malpractice actions from presuit through trial. Kevin has also represented general liability clients in front of a variety of administrative and regulatory agencies, including the Florida Department of Transportation, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, among others.

Kevin holds a law degree from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, and an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.

Outside of the office, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid golfer and fisherman.
