Katherine RaneroBiographyKatherine Ranero is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Orlando office, working in a variety of practice areas, but primarily in medical malpractice. Katherine attended the Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. She graduated in 2018 and continued on to Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In law school, she served as a Teaching Assistant in Legal Research and Writing, and Managing Editor of the Journal of Public Interest Law. She also aided a start-up pharmaceutical company in drafting their bylaws, articles of incorporation, and employment contracts during an Entrepreneurship Clinic. She received her Juris Doctor in 2022. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, she managed personal injury and workers’ compensation cases from inception to litigation and settlement negotiations at a New Orleans firm. Before becoming a lawyer, Katherine served as a Privacy Legal Intern in New York where she counseled business and technology teams on international privacy issues in connection with the development of products and services involving the collection and use of consumer personal information. She also prepared privacy and data security agreements related to third-party vendors, advertising, and marketing technologies such as non-disclosure agreements and SaaS agreements. Katherine joined the firm in 2023 and is admitted to practice in Florida and Louisiana. Outside of practicing law, she enjoys running and exploring new places to eat.
