Karla Herrera

Karla Herrera is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Miami office, where she works on a variety of matters including medical malpractice and general liability.

Karla graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University, where she majored in Political Science and made the Dean’s List every semester. She spent time as an intern at the Congressional District Office of Congresswomen Debbie Mucarsel-Powell before going on to pursue her law degree from  University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, Karla was the Executive Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy and a member of the Latino Law Student Association.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2025, Karla worked at a firm that handled workers’ compensation claims, as well as at a well-known South Florida medical malpractice firm.

When Karla isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dog, and reading.
