He regularly uses arbitration and mediation as a tool to limit his client’s exposure and liability, while also keeping the litigation costs under control. He is well-respected by his peers, his colleagues, and the judiciary, and his reputation for being forthright allows him to navigate contentious cases with ease in order to produce a result that is in line with the client’s expectations. Jason understands that litigation is stressful and overwhelming, especially for clients who have never experienced it before, and he prides himself on providing counsel that will leave his clients with peace of mind and confidence that their lawyer has their best interests at heart. Jason has the patience to walk his clients through the litigation process, and the knowledge to achieve the results they want. In accordance with his litigation practice, Jason also frequently assists clients with improving their safety procedures, implementing preventative measures, and improving their documentation skills. He has provided insight on revising standard operating handbooks and policy manuals in an effort to limit their liability exposure in general and mitigate future litigation. Defense Verdict on Behalf of an Apartment Complex
Plaintiff alleged a slip and fall in her own apartment related to water leaking from the air conditioner. Plaintiff retained a well-known local expert as her life care planner who intended to offer medical causation opinions that were outside his medical specialty, but the defense was successful in prohibiting that testimony. Plaintiff’s last demand was $950,000, but the jury returned a complete defense verdict.
