Hugh B. HarrisBiographyHugh B. Harris is a Partner in Wicker Smith’s Birmingham office where his practice focuses on the defense of commercial transportation, medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability and negligent security, construction defect, general liability, and professional liability matters in both State and Federal Courts. He also regularly defends clients in a variety of licensing and administrative board issues. Hugh has defended civil suits from the pre-suit investigation stage through trial. His practice also focuses on advising property and casualty insurers and third-party administrators in coverage matters as well as the defense of extra-contractual, bad faith, and breach of contract suits. Hugh is admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts in Alabama and the Alabama Board of Pharmacy. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Health Law Section and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. In addition, he has been selected as a Mid-South Super Lawyer® Rising Star from 2020-2024. Hugh is married to Anne Lyle Harris and they have three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family and coaching his daughters’ sports teams.
