Ciera L. Sowder

Ciera L. Sowder is an associate attorney in Wicker Smith’s Orlando office, handling mostly automobile and trucking negligence, premises liability, and general negligence.

Ciera holds an associate’s degree from Lake-Sumter State College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. She continued her education at Barry University School of Law, where she worked in the Juvenile Defense Clinic and received her law degree in 2025.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ciera worked for ten years as a legal assistant in a family law firm in Lake County, Florida, where she gained invaluable experience in legal research, writing, court procedures, and client interaction. Determined and resourceful, Ciera worked full-time all throughout college and law school, balancing the demands of her job, school, and being a working mother. She came to Wicker Smith as a law clerk in late 2025 and joined the firm as an associate upon her admission to the Florida Bar in 2026.
