Belissa ArdissonBiographyBelissa Ardisson is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses on general liability, premise liability, and retail and transportation matters at the state and federal level. An experienced trial attorney, Belissa began her legal career in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s office. For three years she honed her skills in court every day, prosecuting misdemeanor and felony domestic violence and juvenile offender cases. During her tenure she tried 19 cases to verdict and helped to mentor and develop dozens of younger attorneys. She pivoted into civil litigation in 2024 and spent two years at another prominent South Florida defense firm handling general liability, property damage, wrongful death, premises liability, and automobile negligence claims, before joining Wicker Smith in 2026. Belissa graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College at Florida International University with a degree in political science in 2017, before continuing her education at the University of Miami School of Law on a Dean’s Merit Scholarship. She was involved in a number of student organizations while in law school including the Moot Court team and the University of Miami Race and Social Justice Law Review, and received her J.D. in 2021. Outside of the office, Belissa enjoys traveling and spending time in nature, including swimming and hiking with her husband and dog.
