Ashlyn FreemanBiographyAshlyn Freeman is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Orlando office, handling mostly professional liability, premises liability, and general negligence matters. Ashlyn earned her undergraduate degree at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in Tallahassee. She was a recipient of the FAMU Presidential Scholarship and on the Dean’s List for all semesters, and graduated summa cum laude in 2020 with a degree in Political Science. She continued her education at the University of Florida Levin College of Law as a John Lewis Scholar, receiving a full merit-based scholarship. In addition to holding leadership positions in a variety of student organizations, including President of the Student Bar Association and Arbitration Chair of the UF ADR Team, Ashlyn also maintained her position on the Dean’s List and was a recipient of the Dean’s Leadership Award and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Practice. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, Ashlyn worked as a Staff Attorney in the Office of the Public Defender in Florida’s 9th Judicial Circuit, serving Orlando and Osceola Counties. There she managed a high-volume caseload of more than 100 misdemeanor matters from inception through resolution and participating in multiple jury trials. Ashlyn is a dedicated community servant who keeps her personal faith central in all her endeavors. She volunteers with Community Legal Services, providing pro bono assistance in a variety of legal matters to individuals without the means to pay for representation.
