Wicker Smith is well known for its representation of hospitals. We currently represent over 80 facilities throughout Florida. We have defended allegations for all aspects of hospital activities including but not limited to: claims of negligence by physicians, physician extenders, nursing, pharmacy, pathology as well as other aspects of health care negligence. The severity of these claims have ranged from claimed brain injury resulting from birth trauma to multiple limb amputations resulting from infection. We have defended the facilities from allegations of premises liability including but not limited to general negligence as well as negligent security (including homicide) on the premises. As mentioned in the regulatory section, we also defend facilities relating to governmental intervention and complaints. We are well versed with ERISA claims as well as Good Samaritan issues.
