Wicker Smith Welcomes Partner to Trusts and Estates Group in the Miami Office

MIAMI – OCTOBER 12, 2021 – Civil litigation firm, Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford P.A., is pleased to announce that attorney, Liz C. Messianu, has re-joined the Miami office as a Partner, where she will be working closely with Managing Partner, Nicholas Christin, in the Trusts & Estates group.

Liz C. Messianu has over 21 years of experience practicing in the areas of probate-estate planning, guardianship administration and litigation, estate and trust administration, real estate transactions and wealth preservations for individuals. Mrs. Messianu handles all aspects of estate and trust matters, including probate and trust administration, representing beneficiaries in our courts, with a strong emphasis on litigation involving probate matters, estates, trusts, and contested guardianships. She represents individuals in a variety of contexts, including as heirs, personal representatives (executors), trustees, beneficiaries of estates and trusts, incapacitated persons, their families or guardians, spouses and intestate heirs. She has successfully resolved will and trusts contests as a result of vague language, fraud, duress, contradictory instructions, lack of capacity and undue influence, among other factors. Mrs. Messianu represents individuals, as well as professional guardians, in protecting individuals retain their liberty and their assets from dissipations at the hands of others.

“Liz brings significant experience in probate-estate planning, estate and trust administration, guardianships, and real estate transactions to the team,” said Nicholas Christin, Managing Partner, Wicker Smith. “She acts for prominent clients in a variety of contexts, while still maintaining a special interest in her continued representation of the vulnerable in our community – children, the elderly, and those who are marginalized, on a pro bono basis.”
