Defense Verdict: Insurance Malpractice (Miami-Dade County, Florida)

Congratulations to Miami Partners Erik Crep and Michael Kennedy, and Associate Mariela E. Cano, Esq., for a defense verdict in an insurance agent malpractice/breach of fiduciary duty case in Miami-Dade County.

The underlying case involved a stipulated judgment of $1 million following a wrongful death caused by a commercial vehicle. With interest and potential fees, the damages were in excess of $1.6 million. The Plaintiff alleged that our insurance agent client failed to procure a commercial liability policy. The jury returned its verdict in 50 minutes.
