Vanessa Santana

Vanessa Santana is an associate in the Melbourne office of Wicker Smith where she focuses her practice primarily on commercial litigation, retail, and transportation law.

Vanessa earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida A&M University College of Law. She also served as Senior Editor of the Law Review and participated in the E. Earle Zehmer Workers’ Compensation Moot Court Competition.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2024, Vanessa gained experience in workers’ compensation, premise liability, product liability, professional liability, retail and transportation claims while practicing at a personal injury law firm in Orlando, Florida. She also served as Assistant State Attorney with the 18th Judicial Circuit office.

Vanessa is a native of Brazil, and speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently. Outside of practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, theme parks, and musical theater. She was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2021, but has been working in the legal field since 2011.
