Michael MejiaMichael Mejia Michael A. Mejia is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, focusing primarily on Medical Malpractice and Premises Liability matters. Mr. Mejia graduated cum laude from Florida International University in 2016 with a major in International Relations. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law, with a focus on Intellectual Property Law. He was also a Merit Scholarship recipient and Managing Editor of the Journal of Complex Litigation. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Mr. Mejia served as a Legislative Policy Analyst assisting in Intergovernmental Affairs for the Board of County Commissioners and registered lobbyist at the Florida Senate and House of Representatives in Tallahassee. He also has vast experience with the U.S. Government and Military as an Intelligence Analyst, having also won many medals. During his free time, Michael enjoys learning about new and emerging technologies; reading and writing about international relations, politics, and history; understanding different cultures; understanding different brand identities; reading and writing about trademark and trade secret law; traveling, staying fit, and above all, spending time with family.
