She focuses her practice on matters involving premises liability, product liability, transportation and general civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, she was an associate for four years with a local Orlando-based firm dedicated to defending auto manufacturers in product liability cases. She also served as a Trial Clerk in the Complex Business Court for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of the State of Florida from 2006-2007. A native of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, Ms. Woodward earned a Juris Doctor from New York Law in 2000. While in law school, she served as both a team coach and competitor for the New York Law School Moot Court Honor Society. She was also a staff member for the New York Law School Journal of International and Comparative Law. In 1993, Ms. Woodward graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in French and International Relations. She spent her junior year in college abroad in Paris, France, studying French Economy, History, Literature and Language. Representative Matters
Limited Damages in a Defective Key Socket Case
This case involved an alleged defect in a key socket on a tire lift kit sold by our client. Plaintiff alleged that he sustained injuries to his ankle as a result of a key socket malfunctioning while he was rotating the tires on his Jeep Wrangler. Plaintiff demanded $100,000 at mediation; case resolved for $15,000.
$1.3 Million Verdict Avoided in a Chiropractic Case
Plaintiff claimed that our defendant chiropractor failed to properly diagnose and treat his foot injury and failed to refer him to an orthopedic specialist in a timely manner. Plaintiff demanded $1.3 million, but the jury found no negligence on the part of our client and returned a complete defense verdict.
