Lisa GillBiographyLisa J. Gill is Of Counsel in Wicker Smith’s Nashville office. She concentrates her practice in family law, including divorce. Lisa is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), and the National Board of Trial Advocacy has designated her as a Family Law Trial Specialist. Prior to practicing family law, she participated in the resolution of various business disputes. Her prior legal experience included trials in federal court and state court, as well as arbitration, and administrative law cases involving construction, real estate, business, and employment law. She worked to resolve business disputes involving commercial and residential real estate contract litigation, construction litigation, shareholder disputes, embezzlement, and other breach of fiduciary duty investigations, as well as general employment issues. She conducted on-site investigations for employers, gave status reports to executive boards, and reviewed internal business policies for legal compliance. Lisa is licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee, and represents clients in both states at the trial and appellate levels, as well as federal family law actions including the Hague Convention and International Child Abduction Remedies Act (“ICARA”). She has held prior presidencies with the Association of Women Attorneys and the Mississippi Bar Association Northwest Young Lawyers Division. She currently serves on the Tennessee Bar Association Family Law Section Executive Committee as the Chair and is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Law Practice Management and Technology Committee.
