Kerry McKeownKerry McKeown Kerry A. McKeown is an Associate in the Jacksonville office of Wicker Smith, where she focuses primarily on medical malpractice, premises liability, transportation, and general negligence matters. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Ms. McKeown practiced at a prominent Orlando firm where she handled civil litigation matters arising from property and personal injury disputes, including motor vehicle accidents, premise liability, negligence, product liability, and related causes of action. Ms. McKeown received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Queen’s University in 2014. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2017 from Barry University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. After graduating law school, Ms. McKeown served as a judicial law clerk at the Fifth District Court of Appeal. As a law clerk, Ms. McKeown was responsible for researching and recommending the disposition of issues raised in civil appeals, including issues common to civil litigation such as jurisdiction, statutory interpretation, damages, and attorneys’ fees. Ms. McKeown’s background in appellate law enables her to approach each case with a big-picture perspective, enhancing her ability to determine the most efficient and effective solution to help her clients. In her free time, Ms. McKeown enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to her local bookstore, and exploring the city’s festivals and markets. |
