Kaitlin JoyceBiographyKaitlin Joyce is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, focusing primarily on professional liability, healthcare and general negligence matters. Ms. Joyce completed a Bachelor of Arts in Art History at Florida International University in April 2012. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2016. While in law school she was the recipient of multiple mock trial and moot court awards, as well as a CALI Book Award in Trial Advocacy Practice. Upon her admission to the Bar, Ms. Joyce worked for two years at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. She managed a caseload of over 200 indigent clients charged with felony and misdemeanor offenses, and sat first chair for more than twenty criminal trials. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2022, Ms. Joyce worked at two other firms in the Miami area, gaining experience in juvenile dependency and termination of parental rights, as well as litigation and insurance defense. Ms. Joyce has traveled extensively abroad and is fluent in Spanish. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family, boating, and trying new restaurants.
