Jonathan Strauss

Jonathan Strauss is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on general liability, retail, transportation, and commercial litigation matters.

Jonathan began his college career at Queens College of the City University of New York before transferring to Winthrop University, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, and competed as a Division I baseball student-athlete, earning the 2022 Winthrop Athletics Male Student Athlete of the Year award. He continued his education at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law, graduating in the top 6% of his class with a place on the Dean’s List all six semesters and CALI Book Awards in Criminal Procedure and Business Planning Workshop.

As a law student, Jonathan completed internships with an estate planning firm in Pompano Beach, drafting wills, trusts, and contracts, and with a corporate law firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, supporting mediations and depositions across a variety of corporate practice areas. He joined Wicker Smith as a law clerk in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, drafting motions and discovery responses and conducting legal research, and transitioned to Associate upon his admission to the Florida Bar in 2026.

Jonathan is active in his community, having volunteered with Palm Beach Legal Aid and Feeding South Florida, and having served as a public speaker, mentor, and baseball coach for local youth programs.

The Florida Bar
