Kennedy is an attorney in Wicker Smith’s St. Petersburg office, where her practice focuses on a variety of insurance-related matters, including coverage, extra-contractual exposure, and first and third-party coverage matters at the pre-litigation, trial, and appellate levels. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, Jennifer was part of a civil trial firm in St. Petersburg where she provided invaluable trial support in the form of legal writing, research and motion practice, as well as handling appellate matters on the firm’s behalf. Jennifer’s work has been integral in the resolution of countless matters, either via dispositive motion or appellate review. Before she entered into private practice, Jennifer served for two years as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Virginia Covington on Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal, which provided her with an in-depth understanding of effective writing, rhetorical analysis, and appellate court procedures that informs her practice today. Jennifer is well known in the legal community. She spent two years on the Executive Committee of the St. Petersburg Bar Association, where she served as the Editor of the Paraclete and received the Rockin’ Chair Award. She is a judge for her alma mater, Stetson University College of Law’s Moot Court Board, and active in the Appellate Sections of the Florida Bar, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Outside of her professional commitments, Jennifer is a Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts and participates in several community service initiatives through her church.
