In his 30+ year career, Mr. Wicker has engaged in active civil trial practice, focusing on litigation matters to include trucking and automobile liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability and professional negligence. Having tried numerous cases throughout the state of Florida, his success in the courtroom has garnered the recognition from his peers and earned him an “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded by that organization. He has successfully represented such clients as National Interstate, Waste Management, Vanliner, Landstar System, Inc., Armellini Express Lines, Inc., Scottsdale Insurance, Florida Intracoastal Underwriters, Ltd., Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc., QBE and Office Depot among others. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 1972, Mr. Wicker went on to earn a Masters in Business Administration from Samford University and Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law in 1975. Plaintiff claimed to have suffered significant injuries including neck injuries requiring a discectomy with future surgical recommendations. Plaintiff claimed past and future medical bills at $467,796 with past and future pain and suffering at a minimum of $304,210 for a total request of a minimum of $771,996.
