Garett FaulkenderBiographyGarett R. Faulkender is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Wicker Smith, handling transportation and and premises liability matters. Mr. Faulkender graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2014 with a Dual-Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2018. While in law school, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Complex Litigation (law review) and as a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, the Criminal Law Society, and the Maritime Law Society. He received a CALI Book Award in Criminal Practice in 2017, and a Pro Bono Commendation in 2018. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2022, Mr. Faulkender worked as a Lead Felony Trial Attorney in the Broward County Public Defender’s Office, where he tried 17 cases to verdict. He also served as the Spanish Floater Attorney in the Major Crimes Division. In his free time, Mr. Faulkender enjoys wakeboarding, watching movies, and caring for animals.
