Donna HanesBiographyDonna Kay Hanes is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Tampa office where she focuses her practice in automobile negligence and premises liability. In 1988, Ms. Hanes earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University with a major in communication and minors in English and Business. She then continued her education at Florida State University College of Law graduating with a Juris Doctor, with honors, in 1991. Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Ms. Hanes was a prosecutor at the Hillsborough State Attorney’s Office where she tried over a hundred jury trials, including homicides and other violent crimes. Previously, she was an attorney at a nursing home litigation firm. Ms. Hanes has been admitted to practice in the State of Florida since 1991 and is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Middle District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is an active member of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association.
