David Wynne, Jr.BiographyDavid I. Wynne, is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Tampa office, where he handles a variety of matters including premises liability, auto negligence, commercial trucking, and products liability, as well as contractual and business dispute matters. David has been a civil litigator for nearly twenty-five years. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2021, he spent twelve years as a trial attorney for a multinational finance and insurance corporation, managing general liability cases, for which he was recognized as Attorney of the Year for his region. Previously, he was an associate at a prestigious civil litigation firm, handling cases involving complex commercial liability and insurance defense. During law school, he served as a law clerk for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. In his litigation practice, David is known for his measured countenance, deliberate thought process, creative problem solving, and his ability to bring parties together. Clients value his ability to defuse contentious cases with his amicable approach, often leading to efficient and cost-effective outcomes. These qualities, combined with his breadth of experience and knowledge, led him to an interest in mediation, and in early 2024, David became a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator. He offers mediation services throughout the state of Florida in commercial litigation, general liability, and personal injury matters, while continuing to maintain his litigation schedule. David is a graduate of Florida State University, where he earned a degree in Philosophy, and Stetson University College of Law.
