Daniel Ieraci

Daniel Ieraci is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Fort Lauderdale office, where his work focuses on the defense of premises liability and negligent security matters.

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Daniel attended college at Florida State University and returned to South Florida for law school at Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad College of Law. He began his legal career at a South Florida defense firm handling first party property claims, premises liability claims, and motor vehicle accidents. There, he learned the value of sweat equity, presenting argument in venues throughout Florida in service of his clients. He joined Wicker Smith in 2018.

Today, Daniel handles a variety of litigation for some of the country’s major hotel, retail, and convenience store chains, including slip and trip and falls, negligent security, employee altercations, construction defects and vendor actions causing injury, automobile negligence, and other catastrophic injuries.

Daniel’s clients trust his thorough investigation and his clear and candid guidance about available defenses or effective paths to resolution. He is regularly successful in dispositive motions, and has the knowledge and skill to try cases when necessary. Two of his most notable trial results include a complete defense verdict on behalf of a South Florida restaurant in which the plaintiff alleged she suffered critical burns as a result of waitstaff spilling hot tea, and a directed verdict in a negligent security case on behalf of the nation’s largest convenience store retailer in 2024.

In addition to his litigation and trial work, Daniel regularly advises and consults clients on risk management. He recently represented a convenience store retailer in a matter with significant exposure, helping to resolve the case prior to suit being filed and preventing a potentially nuclear verdict.

Outside of the office, Daniel’s true passion is motorsports. He is an avid follower of F1, Indy Car, and endurance car racing; on the weekends he can regularly be found taking his own car out for a spin or spending time with his family and friends.
