Dane D. Norvell IIBiographyDane D. Norvell II is an associate in the West Palm Beach office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on medical malpractice and general liability matters. Dane attended college at the University of Memphis, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 2020 and an MBA in 2022. As an undergrad, Dane played the trumpet in the Mighty Sound of the South Marching Band and was elected as the President of the Delta Nu Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. He went on to serve one year as the 2nd Vice Regional Director for the fraternity’s Southwestern Region, followed by two years as the International Second Vice President, chairing the International Collegiate Affairs Committee Dane continued his education at the University of Mississippi School of Law where he received his J.D., cum laude, in 2025. There, Dane served as a Parliamentarian with the Black Law Students Association and as Business Manager for Volume 94 of the Mississippi Law Journal. He was also an active member of the Dean’s Leadership Council, Moot Court Board, and Negotiation Board, where he was awarded a Top Negotiator certificate. Throughout law school, Dane expanded his skill set through a variety of internships and clerkships, including with both plaintiff-side and defense-side firms in Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee, and as a summer associate in Wicker Smith’s West Palm Beach office. He also spent time as a student attorney at the Low-Income Housing Clinic as well as the Transactional Law Clinic at Ole Miss. Outside of his professional pursuits, Dane is an Eagle Scout, a children’s book author, pianist and trumpeter. He enjoys reading, writing, and anything outdoors.
