Brittany G. HudsonBiographyBrittany Hudson is a partner in Wicker Smith’s St. Petersburg office, handling medical malpractice, professional liability, and administrative law matters. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, Brittany spent the first seven years of her legal career at another prominent trial firm in the Tampa Bay Area, defending clients in medical malpractice and general liability matters and representing doctors and allied health professionals in front of the Florida Department of Health in administrative and credentialing matters. She has accrued significant trial experience in her relatively short career, having served as assistant counsel in over a dozen jury trials as well as several arbitration proceedings. Her litigation practice encompasses all phases of a case, from pre-suit investigation and discovery through trial and, where necessary, post-judgment proceedings. Whether in the courtroom or through alternative dispute resolution, Brittany’s clients trust her to bring the same level of thorough preparation into every proceeding. Brittany received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida in 2015 and her law degree from Stetson College of Law in 2019. While at Stetson, she was a member of the Trial Team and competed at the National Trial Competition in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and was also an Honor Roll recipient. Additionally, she served as a research assistant to Professor Teresa Radwan, pro-bono chair of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers at Stetson and served on the council for the National Women’s Law Student Organization. During her law school summers, Brittany was a judicial intern for the 13th Judicial Circuit, served as a Guardian Ad Litem for Hillsborough and Pinellas County, and clerked at Goodis Thompson & Miller. In addition to her litigation practice, Brittany is frequently asked to present at hospitals and risk management seminars, where she provides guidance on proactive strategies to identify and mitigate potential liability and avoid litigation. Her practical insight from years of courtroom and arbitration experience allows her to offer valuable perspective to healthcare professionals and risk management teams seeking to minimize legal exposure. Outside of the office, Brittany enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband, Drew, who is also a partner with Wicker Smith. They share a mutual passion for tennis and golf. She also has a deep fondness for animals, including her dogs, donkeys, and chickens, which speaks to her compassionate and dedicated nature — qualities equally reflected in her steadfast commitment to vigorously defending her clients in medical malpractice matters.
