Austin Shaffer

Austin Shaffer is an associate in Wicker Smith’s Atlanta office, where he works in a variety of practice areas, focusing primarily on general liability, premises liability, and transportation matters.

Austin attended Towson University, where he majored in Classical Guitar Performance; received the Carl B. Schmidt Award for Excellence in Music History Research and Writing; and graduated summa cum laude in 2019. He continued his education at George Mason University, earning his Juris Doctor in 2022.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2024 as an associate, Austin began his legal career as a staff attorney with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, assisting with matters involving post-conviction relief, civil rights, immigration, criminal law, sentencing, and employment.

Outside of practicing law, Austin enjoys playing golf, cooking, and traveling.
