Austin Saltmarsh

Austin Saltmarsh is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on construction, personal injury, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and transportation matters.

Austin attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, graduating in 2020 with a degree in political science. Post-college, he worked as a political strategist in Jacksonville before pivoting into a paralegal role at a firm that handled a variety of plaintiff-side employment litigation. Austin eventually enrolled in law school at Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida, and completed his law degree in 2025.

Austin’s background in politics and employment matters give him a broad range of experience to draw on in his role as a litigation associate. He is well-versed in interacting with important and high-ranking stakeholders, monitoring and meeting deadlines, and working together with a wide array of people to reach a goal. During law school he further expanded his skill set by completing an externship at the Department of Labor, and also by clerking at a Tampa-area personal injury firm.

Austin’s interests outside of the office include attending concerts, snowboarding, and traveling.
