Anjali "Angie" Sharma

Anjali “Angie” Sharma is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Wicker Smith handling medical malpractice matters.

A Fort Lauderdale native, Angie attended high school at Pine Crest before heading to Washington, D.C. to attend college at George Washington University. She was a member of the GW Honors College and earned recognition for special honors in her major, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in philosophy. Angie then returned to Florida where she was admitted to her first choice law school, University of Florida Levin College of Law, with a full, merit- based scholarship. She received her law degree in 2017.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, Angie worked for several years as an Assistant Public Defender in Broward County, where she honed her client advocacy and trial strategy skills trying many second- and third-degree felonies, misdemeanors, and juvenile delinquency matters. She also spent time working as a senior in-house paralegal with a national obstetrics provider, assisting in managing a book of business of more than 275 affiliated hospital- and ambulatory-based medical practices nationwide. Durning this time, Angie gained both significant familiarity with healthcare law and extensive experience assisting with drafting physician and provider contracts, drafting professional service agreements with hospitals and hospital systems, as well as assisting in handling employment law and healthcare compliance matters.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Angie is a wife, a dog mom to a new rescue puppy, and a lifelong yoga practitioner. She is also a dedicated community servant, having logged many hundreds of hours volunteering with Hospice of Broward County, Feeding South Florida, and the South Florida Hindu Temple.
