Diaz-BarandiaranBiographyAntonella Diaz-Barandiaran is an associate in the Fort Lauderdale office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses on medical malpractice, including the defense of healthcare providers in complex liability matters. Antonella attended Loyola University New Orleans, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2022 and her law degree in 2025. Throughout her education she was a dedicated member of the Loyola community. As an undergrad she was a Political Science peer mentor, a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success, and a founding board member with the Loyola Society for Civic Engagement. As a law student, she worked as a student attorney in the Stuart H. Smith law Clinic & Center for Social Justice and was elected President of the Latinx Law Student Association. Antonella began her legal career while she was still in college, working as a legal assistant at an immigration firm in South Florida where she developed an early interest in advocacy and client-centered representation.
