Robert Desper

Robert Desper is an associate in the Naples office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on general liability, medical law, and professional liability.

Robert graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University magna cum laude in 2021. He continued his education at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law, where served as Senior Staff Editor of the Kentucky Law Journal, and was an active member of the school’s Trial Advocacy Board.

As a student, Robert interned with Florida Rural Legal Services, a nonprofit civil legal aid organization serving vulnerable individuals and families across Florida, where he assisted attorneys in providing free civil legal aid to those in need. He also worked as both a legal assistant and a law clerk with two different plaintiff-side personal injury firms, familiarizing himself with the claims and litigation process from the plaintiff’s perspective, before coming to Wicker Smith as a law clerk in 2024. He joined the firm as an associate upon his admission to the Florida Bar in 2026.

Outside of the office, Robert loves to play tennis, ski, volunteer at the Gulf Coast Humane Society, and watch the Kentucky Wildcats.
