Orlando Partner Invited to Become a Member of FLABOTA
ORLANDO – FEBUARY 5, 2021 – Civil litigation defense firm, Wicker Smith O’Hara McCoy & Ford P.A., is pleased to announce Orlando partner, Joseph P. Menello, has been invited to become a member of The Florida Chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates (FLABOTA).
Joseph P. Menello joined Wicker Smith in 1998 and is a partner in the Orlando office. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998, Mr. Menello’s civil trial practice has focused on the defense of professional and corporate institutions, as well as individuals throughout the state of Florida. He has primarily handled cases involving medical malpractice, premises liability, automobile liability, general civil litigation and professional negligence, covering a wide range of complex issues. Mr. Menello is an active member of The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association.
Founded in 1958, The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA membership consists of more than 7,600 lawyers—equally balanced between plaintiff and defense— and judges spread among 96 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism by following our Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.
