Favorable Verdict: Automobile Negligence (Miami-Dade County, Florida)

Fort Lauderdale Partner Theresa Strub Caccippio and Associate Marc Spier recently obtained a favorable verdict for their client in an auto negligence trial in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

This case arose from an admitted liability rear-end collision in December 2018. The Plaintiff underwent a three-level cervical fusion and presented medical bills totaling $280,000. Plaintiff retained multiple experts to opine on the necessity of the surgeries and asked the jury for $1.3 million in closing arguments.

Despite this, the jury returned a verdict of just $18,951, triggering a Proposal for Settlement and entitling our client to pursue fees and costs.
