Todd Barron

Todd Barron is a partner in Wicker Smith’s Nashville office whose practice focuses on civil litigation, including premises liability, negligent security, employment law, and other business and commercial disputes.

Todd began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney at the Broward State Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted felony-level cases and tried more than 30 cases to verdict. After his years as a prosecutor, he joined Wicker Smith in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office where he spent over a decade honing his trial and litigation skills for some of the firm’s largest Florida-based and national retail, hospitality, and commercial clients. In early 2025, Todd transferred to the firm’s Nashville office to help expand the firm’s litigation practice in Tennessee. He regularly represents businesses in litigation matters ranging from premises liability and negligent security claims to employment-related disputes and other complex civil litigation matters.

Todd earned his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, where he was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America Honor Society. During law school, he interned for the Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and received the pro bono honor award for his volunteer work in the sexual battery unit of the Broward County State Attorney’s Office. He went on to earn a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Law & Government with a specialization in Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice from American University Washington College of Law.

Todd’s extensive trial experience and background as a prosecutor provide him with a practical, results-oriented approach to litigation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.

When he is not working, Todd and his wife enjoy exploring the music and culture of Music City, as well as Tennessee’s many state parks and outdoor destinations.
