Ryan Dowd

Ryan Dowd is an associate attorney in Wicker Smith’s St. Petersburg Downtown office, handling primarily medical malpractice, long-term care, and professional liability matters.

Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, Ryan spent several years at another prominent Florida-based defense firm where his practice included the defense of healthcare providers and long-term care facilities, as well as general liability matters that involved catastrophic injuries, including amputations and spinal injuries. Ryan is experienced in all aspects of litigation from pre-suit to trial and also spent considerable time as a mentor helping to develop the younger attorneys on his team.

Ryan earned his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida, and completed his education at Stetson University College of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2023.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys attending or watching his favorite sports teams including the Florida Gators, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Tampa Bay Lightning. He also enjoys playing recreational sports with various community programs in the Tampa Bay area, traveling, and going to the beach.
