R. Baron Ringhofer, a native of Illinois, joined Wicker Smith in 2007 and is a partner in the Naples office. The focus of his practice is defending claims that involve construction defect and construction related matters, medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, general negligence and real estate.
Baron’s primary focus is defending cases in all aspects of construction litigation throughout Florida, including representing general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, designers and architects for both residential and commercial properties. He has defended cases involving residential properties ranging in size up to 20,000 square feet luxury homes and multi-unit complexes. In addition, Baron has also defended cases involving civil/municipality construction matters including road construction and waste water treatment facilities.
Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Baron worked for a large international law firm based in Chicago. Baron received his Juris Doctor in 2002 from Loyola University in Chicago. While in law school, he also studied international law and international relations in Rome, Italy and Oxford, England through Loyola University. He graduated in 1999 from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Baron is admitted to practice in both the state of Illinois and Florida. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, The Florida Bar and Collier County Bar Association.

Construction Defect Claim
The claimant alleged defects and non-conformities in the manufacture and installation of a manufactured home. Claimant asked for $65,000 plus fees, but our client ultimately paid less than $500 to resolve the matter.
