Nicholas Seamster joined Wicker Smith in 2008 and is a partner in the West Palm Beach office. Mr. Seamster’s has extensive experience representing retailers in various matters. This includes grocery stores, national health clubs, and multiple quick-service restaurant chains. In regard to premises, Mr. Seamster has successfully defended slip/trip and fall matters, as well as security cases involving shootings, stabbings and robberies. In his products liability experience, he has represented manufacturers and retailers involving a multitude of products including but not limited to gym equipment, tires, and food/produce. Mr. Seamster is also involved the representation of commercial motor vehicles insurers and carriers including Vanliner Insurance Company, Landstar Systems, Inc. and Sysco Southeast Florida, LLC. Additionally, Mr. Seamster’s experience includes construction litigation relating to defect claims involving windows, doors, HVAC, fire suppression, stucco and roofing systems.
Prior to joining Wicker Smith, Mr. Seamster worked in the Real Estate Division for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, assisting the Florida Real Estate Commission and the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Board with various legal issues.
Born in Kennesaw, Georgia and raised in Melbourne, Florida, Mr. Seamster graduated from Florida State University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Communications. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University, graduating cum laude in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Seamster clerked for the Wicker Smith West Palm Beach office and the Honorable Carol-Lisa Phillips of the Civil Circuit Division in Broward County Florida. He was also on the Dean’s List and received two book awards for Florida Construction Law and Family Law.
Admitted to practice in Florida in 2008, Nicholas is a member of The Florida Bar, The Palm Beach County Bar Association, Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity and the Phi Theta Kappa honors society.
