Maria Fayad CleggBiographyMaria Fayad Clegg is an associate in the Orlando office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses primarily on general liability, premises liability, and retail matters.. Maria attended Florida State University, where she double majored in International Affairs and Commercial Music Business and graduated summa cum laude in 2020. She briefly relocated to Pittsburgh, where she earned a Paralegal Certification from Duquesne University, before returning to Florida to enroll at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. There, she held leadership roles in a number of organizations including the Entertainment and Sports Law Association, the Association of Law and Business, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, and the Law Association for Women. She was an Ethos of Excellence Scholar and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award at the UF Law Immigration Clinic. Maria worked full-time throughout law school as a paralegal at a real estate and estate planning firm. She joined Wicker Smith as a summer associate in 2024 and became a full-time associate upon her admission to the Florida Bar in 2025. Outside of the office, Maria enjoys traveling, attending live music performances, visiting theme parks, and spending quality time with her dog, friends, and family.
