Kara WoodsBiographyKara Woods is an Associate in Wicker Smith’s Phoenix office, where her practice focuses on general and professional liability matters. She earned her undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and then went on to earn her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. During law school, she was an Associate Editor of the Law Journal for Social Justice, and the recipient of multiple merit-based scholar awards. Kara has an extensive background in the public sector. During law school, she completed an internship at the U.S. State Department in the South and Central Asia/Afghanistan section. Upon her admission to the bar, she worked as a Judicial Law Clerk to Associate Judge Wesley M. Bogdan in the Judiciary of the Northern Mariana Islands, and to the Honorable Judge Kirk E. Sherriff in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, honing her skills in legal research and writing, as well as Federal Court practice.
