Julie CampbellBiographyJulie A. Campbell is a Shareholder in Wicker Smith’s Naples office. She earned her law degree from Georgetown University, and spent ten years working for a global law firm in Washington, D.C. She handled House, Senate and other governmental investigations, securities litigation, complex civil litigation, international arbitration, class action and multi-district litigation and white collar criminal defense, before moving to Florida and joining Wicker Smith in 2008. Today, Julie focuses her practice on the defense of doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice litigation and licensure matters. She is the primary contact in South West Florida for one of the firm’s biggest clients, handling their premises liability claims. She also handles employment litigation for a variety of the firm’s clients. Julie is a studious thinker who places a high value on meticulous research, writing and preparation. Her previous experience in government and finance law allows her to have a clear understanding of the economics of a particular matter, and her thoughtful approach involves a thorough analysis of the interplay of applicable statutes, common law, caps and other strategies to bring the case to an efficient conclusion. On cases with the potential for high damages or public exposure, Julie is routinely sought out for her ability to conduct a thorough work-up of a matter and present the best possible strategies for resolution.
