Joseph M. Oliva

Joseph M. Oliva is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Wicker Smith, where his practice focuses on medical malpractice and premises liability matters.

Joseph graduated cum laude from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City in 2012 and spent the next ten years working as an IT professional in New York and Florida. In 2021, he obtained a master’s degree in criminal justice from the University of North Florida and then went on to law school at Jacksonville University College of Law. He served as the President of the American Constitution Society and the Notes and Comments Editor of the Jacksonville University Law Review, and graduated in 2025.

During law school, Joseph worked as a law clerk at a Jacksonville-area estate planning firm. He joined Wicker Smith as a law clerk in 2024 and was promoted to associate upon his admission to the Florida Bar in 2025.

When he’s not working, Joseph enjoys spending time outside or working on projects in the garage.
