Jona Skendaj

Jona Skendaj is an associate in the Jacksonville office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses on general liability and medical malpractice matters.

Jona earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida, before continuing on to Stetson University College of Law. At Stetson, Jona held leadership positions with the First Generation Law Students Association and the Student Leadership Development Committee, worked as a Teaching Assistant to Professor Ellen Podgor for Criminal Law, and received the Trial Advocacy Whele Award.

As a law student, Jona served as a law clerk with a Tampa litigation firm and as a Summer Intern with the Office of the Public Defender for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit, conducting client interviews and analyzing discovery. She spent the summer of 2025 as a Summer Associate in Wicker Smith’s Jacksonville office and joined the firm full time upon her admission to the Florida Bar in 2026.

Outside of work, Jona enjoys soccer, travel, and spending time with her family and friends.
