Gretchen Swenson

Gretchen Swenson is an associate in the Tampa office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses on automobile negligence and general liability.

Gretchen graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with a degree in marketing. She went on to attend law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she was active in several student organizations including the Saint Thomas More Catholic Legal Society, the Federalist Society, and the Student Bar Association, where she served as social chair. She was also a recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Service Award. She received her J.D., cum laude, in 2025.

Gretchen’s legal experience includes working as a summer associate in Wicker Smith’s Tampa office in 2024, and as a legal intern at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis in 2023. A cause close to her heart, Gretchen had previously worked for St. Jude in Tampa as a philanthropy and development intern when she was an undergrad. She also serves as a committee member for the Around the World with St. Jude Gala in Tampa.

In her free time, Gretchen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and trying new restaurants in the Tampa Bay area.
