Erica Torres

Erica Torres is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, where her practice focuses on professional liability and transportation matters.

Erica graduated from Florida International University magna cum laude with a degree in criminal justice and then went on to complete her law degree at St. Thomas University College of Law. During law school she was a recipient of a Merit Scholarship and the CALI Book Award in Trial Advocacy Practice, as well as numerous awards with the St. Thomas Law Trial Team. Notably, Erica and her team earned First Place at the prestigious Chester Bedell Mock Trial Competition. In addition to her competitive success, Erica served on the Executive Board of the St. Thomas Law Trial Team as Vice President of Membership.

Erica worked her way through law school as an administrative assistant at a construction company, where she gained invaluable experience in project management, permitting, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2026, she worked as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, handling domestic violence cases from intake through trial.

Outside of the office, Erica enjoys travelling with friends, spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Benji.
