Claudia AravenaBiographyClaudia Aravena is an associate in the Miami office of Wicker Smith, focusing primarily on professional liability and transportation matters. Claudia graduated magna cum laude from Florida International University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin L. Crump College of Law at St. Thomas University in 2024. During law school, she earned the Appellate Advocacy Book Award and Best Overall Advocate in the Florida Justice Association 2023 Mock Trial Competition. She was also the Founder and President of The Venezuelan-American Student Bar Association and an active Trial Team member. Prior to joining Wicker Smith as an Associate in 2024, Claudia served as a Student Trainee for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission where she supported investigations and litigation, while also assisting in the SEC’s Minority Mentoring Program. During her free time, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family, running, and traveling. She is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and fluent in Spanish.
