Charlene PobleteBiographyCharlene C. Poblete is a shareholder in the firm’s Jacksonville office with almost 20 years of experience. As a trial attorney, she focuses her practice in the areas of complex medical malpractice and general liability. She joined Wicker Smith shortly after graduating law school and has been with the firm ever since as she is dedicated to advocating for her clients and guiding them through the legal process. Charlene enjoys handling complex high-stakes defense litigation involving multi-million-dollar claims, to include wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and birth injuries. Through in-depth investigation, thorough analysis, and effective legal strategies, Charlene has secured favorable outcomes for her clients over the years, to include multiple trial defense verdicts, dismissals, and summary judgments. She has been an active member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association, and the Phi Beta Kappa Association of Northeast Florida. Charlene attended the University of Florida from 2001 to 2004, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She also minored in English, History and Sociology and was invited for membership into Phi Beta Kappa. From 2005 to 2007, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law. While in law school, Charlene worked for the Florida House of Representatives as a legislative fellow of the Justice Council and for the FSU Student Supreme Court as an Associate Justice. She also served as a certified legal intern for the FSU Children’s Advocacy Center, as a representative for the Student Bar Association, and as a research assistant in the area of tort reform. Charlene also held the positions of Articles & Notes Editor for the Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law and Law School Representative for the Congress of Graduate Students.
