In 1999, Mr. Willers graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School (Chicago) in 2002. While in law school, Mr. Willers participated in the notable Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition and placed as a finalist. Prior to joining Wicker Smith in 2012, Mr. Willers was a shareholder at a Tampa, Florida defense firm where he defended doctors, hospitals, construction companies, and trucking companies. Mr. Willers was admitted to practice in the State of Florida in 2002 and is an active member of the American Bar Association, Hillsborough County Bar Association, Carrollwood Community Bar Association, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, Defense Research Institute, and Florida Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention.
